Chemical skin peels
Chemical peel treatments use a chemical solution to remove damaged outer layers of skin to reveal smoother, clearer skin beneath. Chemical peels can improve the appearance of fine lines, uneven pigmentation, blemishes and other skin imperfections making the skin look more youthful. The deeper TCA peels do cause some discomfort making the skin feel hot during the treatment, the skin will typically be red after treatment which will usually calm in a few hours. The skin will continue to shed for a few days after treatment. Recovery from a TCA peel typically takes a week. A TCA is a very effective skin rejuvenation treatment.
Skin peels help to treat the following concerns; ageing skin, fine lines and wrinkles, brown spots/pigmentation, skin imperfections, open pores, congested skin, skin resurfacing, acne scarring and redness.Skin peels resurface the skin improving texture and smoothness using highly effective ingredients, tailored to your specific requirements on a level that suits you, from mild to more advanced. By removing dull, dead cells from the skin surface, open pores, blemishes and fine lines are all immediately reduced.
Acids Trichloroacetic acid (TCA) for deeper peels and Alpha Hydroxy Acids (AHA), typically glycolic, which are all from natural derivatives, are used to remove the top layers of the skin. The skin is cleansed and a prep solution is applied, ready for the ingredients within the peel to penetrate the lower skin layers. The specific skin peel is then applied, followed by a skin mask. The treatment can take up to 45mins depending on the severity of the skin needs and the type of peel.
The final steps include after care products being applied such as serums and an SPF to protect the skin from UVA & UVB rays.
